Triple Threat Chocolate Cake Recipe

Thanks Heather and Eric for hosting a great social.

Here is recipe for the cake I brought. It is super easy as you will see below!

1 2-layer package devils food chocolate cake mix without the pudding in the mix ( I used Betty Crocker)
1 4-service size package chocolate instant pudding
4 large eggs
1 cup dairy sour cream
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup Kahlua
2 cups chocolate chips (I used a combination of semi-sweet and dark chocolate, so you can use whatever you have on hand)
Powdered sugar and/or cocoa powder for dusting

Combine eggs, sour cream, oil and Kahlua in a large mixing bowl. Blend well, then add the cake mix and pudding mix. Blend well and beat at medium spend for 4 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch Bundt pan. Even out the batter with a spatula. Bake at 350 degree (our oven runs hot, so I baked it at 340 degrees) for 40-50 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes and then remove from pan. I also leveled off the top with a serated knife before I placed it on my cake plate.

Once cool, you can dust the cake with powdered sugar and/or cocoa powder.

I also think a glaze made of Kahlua, powdered sugar and a little bit of butter would be delicious.

Enjoy!

Can't wait to make this! Thanks for posting it, Deyette!
By the way, I'd love to get that pork chop slow cooker recipe that Kelly mentioned last week too, and for that matter, any recipes your kids love!
