Welcome Mitch! Congratulations Cami & Chris!

Chris and Cami welcomed baby Mitchell into the world on Wednesday, October 15th. Mom and baby are doing well. Once they are out of the hospital we can begin the food deliveries. Over the next few weeks volunteers will be bringing some meals for the family.

They have requested no meat (fish and dairy are ok).

Laurel is chiming in here to say that Chris and Miles will be at preschool on Wednesday. Since I'm cooking for another pregnant mom this weekend, I'm making extra and will bring lentil minestrone and bread to preschool for them. Maybe we could list some dates here for people and Tami and I could keep it up to date so that we don't have food overlap and/or delivery overload.

*I spoke with Chris today and he requested the food drop off be about every 3 days. So, here are the calendar dates that you can sign up for. I tried to schedule them including preschool days, so some can just bring the meal to school. Just add (to comments) which day you'd like and what you'd like to bring (to prevent overlap).**

10/22 - Laurel - Lentil Minestrone/Bread
10/26 - Tami - Spinach Ricotta Shells w/ Bread and Brownies
10/29 - Heather - Vegetarian Green Chile Casserole
11/2 - Wendy - Quiche
11/5 - Tiff & Kelly - Enchiladas and corn bread
11/9 - Deyette - Roasted Butternut Squash Lasagne
11/12 - Karrie - Spaghetti Squash Lasagna or Mexican corn and bean soup
11/16 -
11/19 - Kate - Spaghetti
11/23 - Natalie (TBD)
11/26 -
11/30 -

I would be happy to drop off a dinner. Cami, would it be better if we dropped off once a week or more often during the first few weeks?

How about some Mexican-vegetarian? or what are your likes and dislikes?

Thank you so much everbody! We would love to start getting some meals this week (once or twice a week is probably good.) We are in good shape for the weekend. We just got home from the hospital Sat. Am and my mom is here helping. Mexican veg sounds fabulous, Dulce! We like just about everything, but don't eat a lot of meat....fish, eggs, dairy and meat substitues are great (tofu, soy.)Miles and I are OK with beef/pork.

Thanks again for all your help and well-wishes!
Cami, Chris, Miles and Mitchell

we've got a few folks that like 11/19; but kate responded first, so she'll be delivering food that day. FYI

I would love to bring them a dish on 11/9. I am thinking of a roasted butternut squash lasagne.

Thanks!
