Violette loves "Good Night Moon", "Big Red Barn" and "Pajama Time". She loves finding the tiny mouse on each page in Good Night Moon and all of the animals in Big Red Barn. "Good Night Gorilla" is also a favorite, and it has a tiny balloon and mouse on each page to find too.
"Caps For Sale" was also big for a while--should revisit! These days it's assorted Frog & Toad stories, "Gina" by Waber ("Ira Sleeps Over" also very good), vehicle/train books like " "Chugga-Chugga Choo-Choo" by David Kirk and "We all go traveling by" (with CD!) are very popular, "Kiss Good Night" by Amy Hest, "10 Minutes Til Bedtime" by Peggy Rathman, etc. We LOVE the library!!
Quinn loves White Rabbit's Color Book, Big Red Barn,Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed and One Was Jonny. She also really enjoys any book that has a topic about shapes, colors, animals and the aplhabet.
Here are some of Sophie's favorites (this week): : "Bebe goes shopping" by Susan Middleton Elya; "Goodnight, Me." by Andrew Daddo and Emma Quay; "Bed, Bed, Bed" by They Might Be Giants; "Peedie" and "Boo Boo" by Olivier Dunrea; "Chicky Chicky Chook Chook" by Cathy MacLennan. We can't wait to try out some of these new titles!
Isabelle loves: 1. From Head to Toe from Eric Carle (and so do mommy and daddy, because when things are going sour out in public, it is a great distraction to "bend your neck like a giraffe or to clap like a seal...") 2. Blue Hat, Green hat by Sandra Boynton. 3. Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Splishy-Sploshy by Cowley/Fuller. 4. Miffy at the gallery by Dick Bruna. 5. Goodnight baby (you can tuck the baby animals into their beds... very sweet)by innovativeKids.
We love going to the library and getting "new" books to read every other week or so.
